The SMC Express Care Clinic provides care for the whole family ages 12 months and older. Patients are welcomed on a walk-in basis and can see a healthcare professional for non-emergency medical conditions. The SMC Express Care Clinic is particularly useful when an illness develops and the doctor’s office is closed.
At the clinic, symptoms will be assessed for their level of urgency and treated. The SMC Express Care Clinic will also refer patients to more intensive healthcare if needed.
Insurance and Sliding Fee Scale
The clinic is open to everyone in the community whether or not they are a patient at Sitka Medical Center. Most health care plans are accepted including; Tricare, Medicare, Denali Kid Care, and Medicaid. If a patient does not have insurance, they may be eligible for reduced fees.
